Megan Menzies

Megan Menzies received a BA in Art History from the University of Bristol in 2016 and an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in 2022. She is a recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant (2021). Her practice involves drawing, painting and writing to explore memory, personal experience and storytelling. The memories, experiences and stories Megan chooses to work with and develop in her practice are often ordinary with a heavy, melancholic quality – they are what she calls heavy moments, where time thickens and small details are valued and intensified. They are moments of contemplation, imagination and sensitivity. Megan is based in London, UK.
