Allyson Darakjian
Allyson Darakjian is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and educator based in Fresno whose practice centers on abstract painting and performance. Her work explores memory, embodiment, motherhood, ritual, and the emotional textures of everyday life through layered surfaces, intuitive mark-making, and improvisational processes. Drawing on backgrounds in theology and psychology, she approaches painting as both a contemplative and relational act, often incorporating collaboration and lived experience into the work itself. Darakjian holds degrees from Westmont College, an MA from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and an MFA from the University of Nevada, Reno.
